Meet Molly Laury ’22

Laury, an environmental science major at Muhlenberg, works as an animal care technician at the new Da Vinci Science Center in downtown Allentown.

Molly Laury ’22 began her current role as an animal care technician at downtown Allentown’s Da Vinci Science Center shortly before it opened. She trains, feeds, and gives educational presentations about the center’s animals, which include river otters, fish, turtles, snakes, owls, and a skunk.

She came into Muhlenberg knowing that she was interested in studying environmental science. However, it was an internship at the Lehigh Valley Zoo during her time at Muhlenberg that helped her solidify her interest in animal care. A semester abroad in Panama was another formative experience from her time as a student. “[At Muhlenberg], they really work alongside you to make sure that you get what you want out of your education,” she says.
