Dr. Gerald Smyser practiced medicine for 29 years in Grand Forks, North Dakota, after which he and his wife, Annette, retired to Victoria, Minnesota, about 30 miles west of Minneapolis. They have three grown children and five grandchildren. Recently, they celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary. Because of advancing age, Gerald sold his plane and motorcycles so he could devote his time to making Annette happy.
