Dr. Peter Shaw and his wife, Barbara, who’ve been married for 52 years, have traveled the world since Peter retired from cardiology practice in 2016. Additionally, Peter continues to lead the Maine Medical Association Senior Section, arranging speakers every three months that have covered topics like general health policies, illicit drug exposures and deaths, hospice care and gun regulation. Peter successfully advocated for the town of Falmouth, Maine, to outlaw the sale of flavored tobacco products in local stores, an issue to be taken up by the Maine legislature this year.
