Leslie Widmer Woodworth spent three weeks in New Zealand with her husband in November. They toured the South Island before going to Auckland, where Leslie represented the United States in the 2024 Masters [Field] Hockey World Cup. Leslie writes, “I played midfield on the 60s women’s team and enjoyed every moment. It was a fantastic experience! I am still teaching high school history and psychology in New Jersey, but I have retired from coaching and officiating field hockey and lacrosse to focus on my playing. I am looking forward to more opportunities to play internationally and am planning to play in England with the Red Rose Field Hockey Club team in June.”
